St Paul Bathroom Remodeling: Choosing the Project that’s Right for You
A bathroom remodel may be just a surface remodel that doesn’t involve knocking out any walls or changing the plumbing around or it may involve gutting the entire room to the studs or even knocking out a wall to gain some added space. Surface remodeling projects are easier. If you’re pleased with the existing layout of the bath it can save you quite a bit of money. It depends on the condition of the bathroom and whether there is any existing water damage. Once St Paul bathroom remodeling company inspects the room they can tell you if a surface remodel will work for you. On the other hand you may want a completely different look that may require tearing out the entire structure and rebuilding the bathroom from scratch. Such massive alterations are warranted when the bathroom is very old and the flooring is rotting away due to moisture accumulated over the years. A complete renovation project can include a lot of work such as demolition, tearing out and replacing the plumbing, electrical and insulation and installing new drywall. Flooring, fixtures and cabinets would also need to be considered. An experienced St Paul bathroom remodeling company can handle these big projects with ease. Your budget is also an important consideration when it comes to determining the level of your bathroom remodeling project. Talk with a professional St Paul bathroom remodeling company about your budget limitations. While a surface remodel may not be that expensive, anything more involved that requires plumbing, electrical or carpentry work will cost more money. If you have a limited remodeling budget, you may want to stick with a surface remodel and avoid a more costly complete tear-out. You don’t need to break down the existing walls to give your bathroom a new look. If you move the weight bearing walls, this can be bit of an expense. If you plan to shift the position of your fixtures, you will have to get the plumbing redone in your bathroom. Decide if you can live with your current floor plan, leaving your existing plumbing in place. This may save you considerable plumbing expense. With some common sense and the support of a trustworthy St Paul bathroom remodeling company, your remodeling project should be a breeze. If you are remodeling your home, your bathroom is one area you cannot afford to ignore and it should reflect your individuality and sense of style. Considering the amount of time an average person spends in a bathroom, it only makes sense to create an inviting and relaxing space. An experienced St Paul bathroom remodeling company is your best choice when you want to create a functional, relaxing and attractive space.

  • Mark and his team (Jim, John, and Tim) were outstanding! Really a pleasure to work with. They helped us find creative solutions for or bathroom remodel and paid close attention to detail throughout the process. Friendly and personable, they always kept everything clean and tidy. After our initial meeting with Mark, I knew our bathroom remodel was going to look awesome, but I'm truly impressed with their work. I'd highly recommend them!

  • Mark and his crew did an awesome job on my master and main floor bathroom remodels. He turned a closet with a toilet and sink into a true luxury hotel quality bathroom. His design suggestions made the project even better. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail are beyond expectation. I would hire him again for my next project.

  • Mark worked with us to complete a full bathroom remodel within budget this past fall. He was attentive to our needs and requests and offered great design suggestions. Mark, Jim, John and the subcontractors all provided courteous and quality work. We did have some miscommunication on some of the finishing work but Mark quickly and kindly made the fixes needed. We are very pleased with the update Mark and team provided for our bathroom that hadn't been touched since the 50s or 60s.

  • Mark and his father did an awesome job on my odd shaped shower that had some moisture issues and needed new tile. Mark came up with a functional design that I never could have imagined and it turned out beautiful. Sletten Interiors represents everything a contractor should be.: honest, fair, high quality and courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark to others and if I have any further projects, I know who to call.

  • We are totally pleased with the work Sletten did. Mark and Jim and John did outstanding work, were dedicated and did an overall fantastic job. We took a bathroom from the 1990s and brought a classic 1920s bathroom back to the house. Mark is great with details, is a superb craftsman and managed the project very well. The cost to us was very reasonable and we couldn't be happier with everything from start to finish. We have a basement and kitchen on the future list for Sletten Interiors!

  • Mark and Jim did an outstanding job of gutting and rebuilding our shower. They kept the work area clean, were very professional and best of all, did not charge a penny more than what the job was orignally quoted. We are very pleased with the finished shower.

  • The work they did was AWESOME! Our bathroom tile is absolutely gorgeous! It was a patterned concrete tile and even the store where we purchased it was impressed! They also installed a tile floor, two new toilets, a bathroom sink top, a new kitchen sink, shower fixtures, a new bathroom cabinet and re-vented the bathroom and microwave vents to the roof so we wouldn't get ice dams. The construction costs were VERY reasonable. However, if you're a control freak (like I am) and want constant information and updates about the progress of this superior, outstanding work...you WON'T get it from Mark (email, text, phone or face-to-face conversation!!!)!!! Jim is awesome though...he'll tell you anything!!! Did I mention I've never seen or heard of any contractor taking so much care to keep the house and the work area clean? Everyday we came home...there wasn't even a SPECK of construction dust!!!

  • Mark rebuilt our deck this fall. . . with great care and attention to detail and precision. It looks beautiful. He made sure we were aware of the costs of our decisions in case we wanted to choose a less expensive option, which we greatly appreciated. Mark is at the top of our list for any future projects at home or at work! Thanks so much. Mary and Phil

  • I highly recommend Mark Sletten! He is a true professional and his work is top notch. He listens to what I want to have done and offers great solutions. One of the more recent projects was a light remodel of our laundry room: replacing the old flooring, stripping and repainting the old cabinets, and painting the unfinished brick walls and ceiling. He treated the mold discovered underneath the old flooring, replastered parts of the walls, removed all the hardware on the cabinets so that it could be re-used (they were brass and of high quality) -- all these extra tasks that although they hadn't been scoped as part of the original project, Mark took on with no increase in his estimate. As a result, the remodeled room looked even better than envisioned. I look forward to continuing to hire Sletten Interior Solutions in the future!

  • Mark is a true craftsman, he takes pride in doing a job right and listening to the customers needs. He finished my basement, built storage room shelving, reconfigured my laundry room and remodeled a bathroom on budget and in a timely manner. He is truly amazing.

  • Mark Sletten has worked on our house on two large projects and he has done excellent work. The first project involved replacing the old fireplace with the new one. He was asked to gut it, get rid of the elements and to rebuild the fireplace with the new tile, attached to the floor to ceiling structure. Mark did it while we were in Europe and when we returned the house was perfectly cleaned and there was a great new fireplace, functional and gorgeous. The second large project was to redo our ceilings on the upstairs floor. The house was built in 1904 and had cracked ceilings. All 3 bedrooms and the hallway were done perfectly and on time as we needed it to be. Mark brought in an electrician and he had our closets redesigned and he had a painter helping to meet the deadline. Both projects demonstrated that Mark can take responsibilities and deliver the project to the end without any complications. He was exceptionally clean and careful with the existing spaces and furnishings. We highly recommend Mark Sletten, a smart and pleasant man to work on any house project.
